Zonos and Australia Post

Prepay duties on your U.S. parcels, and ship DDP to more destinations with the same account.

U.S. regulations require duty to be paid on a shipment before it enters the country, which is why Verified Accounts exist. Australia Post has partnered with Zonos so that businesses shipping to the U.S. regularly get duty collection, Declaration IDs, and billing handled automatically, instead of a manual step every time.

Your account isn't limited to U.S. parcels, though. You can use the same one to ship DDP—with duties and taxes paid—to Canada, the UK, and select EU countries, so your customer isn't asked for anything on delivery. What each destination requires is different: some countries require duties and taxes to be settled before the parcel ships, and others leave the choice to you.

With a Verified Account:

  • You stay compliant with U.S. Customs

  • You can print Australia Post labels without delays

  • Duties are calculated, invoiced, and remitted on your behalf—along with taxes on your non-U.S. destinations

  • You ship to every supported destination from one account, with one billing method

For the destinations you can ship to, the value limits that apply to each, and what to check first if you sell through a marketplace, see What you can do with your Verified Account.

To get started, set up your Verified Account with Zonos.
